Delivery & Building On-Site
Site Prep and Delivery
Amish sheds are usually built on top of two heavy-duty, Hemlock beams that create "runners" that sit below the framed floor. These beams can be placed directly on the ground although we do recommend some type of base below the beams. Possible materials for the base include patio stones, gravel, concrete or pavement. If the ground is not level, we use a variety of shims below the runners to ensure the building is level before we leave. If you have unique circumstances, please let us know.
The delivery team uses a special forklift machine called a "Shed Mule" to maneuver the building into place. It is important to note any possible delivery challenges that you anticipate prior to our arrival with your building. In many cases, we are able to do a site visit at the time of ordering to ensure that we can have a smooth delivery without any issues.

Building on Site
While our focus is delivering the outstanding workmanship offered by our Amish carpenters by delivering fully assembled buildings, we know that many of our customers want the strength and beauty of a solid Hemlock shed. Since our Amish carpenters prefer to work on their farm, we do have a few contractors in the Hamilton area that we work with who are familiar with the Amish building techniques who can assemble the building for customers within their yard. If you are outside of the Hamilton area, this can be a challenge but we will work with you on this. Please contact us to discuss your particular needs. There are some limitations with the size and design options offered for buildings that are assembled on site.
